San Juan, Puerto Rico – The Plaza Las Américas Foundation and the Plaza Del Caribe Foundation announce the official opening of the application period for the 19th edition of the Mano Amiga Program. From August 1st until August 31, non-profit organizations may submit their proposals to receive financial support through this program.

This year, the call for proposals is focused on supporting projects in the following priority areas:

Education: Only programs related to tutoring and curriculum reinforcement, early childhood, vocational and university access, and functional diversity will be considered.

Art and Culture: Priority will be given to training programs in disciplines such as music, dance, theater, painting, crafts, and literature.

Health: Proposals aimed at addressing chronic conditions in both pediatric and elderly populations.

Women's Empowerment: Priority will be given to programs that promote the physical, emotional, and mental safety of survivors of gender-based violence.
