Partnership between Tres Monjitas and Ballester Food Service
Two century-old Puerto Rican companies join forces to expand distribution of fresh milk in institutional channels
San Juan, PR—October 6, 2025—Vaquería Tres Monjitas and Ballester Food Service signed a distribution agreement whereby the Cataño-based distributor will support the manufacturer in the distribution and sale of fresh milk to new customers in various segments of the institutional channel, better known in the industry as "food service." This is the channel through which products used in food preparation in restaurants, hotels, hospitals, among others, are supplied.
"We are proud to formalize this strategic alliance between two Puerto Rican companies with a century of history, each a leader in its field, to more efficiently reach potential customers that we currently do not reach," said Orlando González Núñez, general manager of Tres Monjitas.
For his part, Guillermo Vera Rosado, general manager of Ballester Food Service, said, "We are excited to announce this alliance that expands the distribution of fresh milk to food service customers throughout Puerto Rico. Two century-old companies with great impact and legacy are joining forces to strengthen their fresh milk offerings in new, longer-lasting packaging to meet the needs of hundreds of restaurants, cafeterias, and other establishments."
Historic Agreement and New Packaging
This is the first time in the history of Tres Monjitas that an agreement has been established with an independent corporate agent. For better handling of this product, 64-ounce packaging was designed exclusively for this channel.
